This is M Gunasundhari, she is 8 years old. She has been sponsored by some members of Derryvullen and Garvary MU through "Compassion", an interdenominational organisation. Gunasundhari lives in a desolate farming community in southern India. Families often live in modest one-room huts with no sanitation. There is a growing problem with drug abuse and alcoholism. Gunasundhari lives at home with her parents, two brothers and little sister. She goes to school at night and a bible school on Saturdays. |
